My Love, Firenze
For as many times as I have been privileged to stay in Firenze for work, it feels like the first time - each time.
Last Spring I was visiting an atelier outside of the city for a client - and after a plane to Milan, train to Florence, and a few apartment mishaps that led me to carting my luggage around town for a day, the work trip was a success. For three years running work has put me somewhere other than home for my birthday; in Firenze we celebrated with a beautiful dinner at Degusteria Italiana, some time at Boboli Gardens, Piazza Michaelangelo, and drinks overlooking the Duomo.
It is nearly impossible to capture the sensuality at the heart of the birthplace of the Renaissance. However, I do try - below some of my favorite snapshots from museums and palaces throughout the city.
